Daisy was born and raised in China and came to Canada in her 40s. She shares her diverse academic and professional experiences, and she still feels lonely. She said she doesn't know many people in Canada who have similar lived experiences. She voices that advocacy work helps and that there is the power of in-between.

Dr. Daisy (Wei) Zhang is a Canadian Certified Counsellor, leadership coach, and community builder based in Saskatchewan. She holds a Ph.D. in Management from Fudan University in China, an MSc in Organizational and Social Psychology from the London School of Economics in the UK as a Chevening Scholar, and an MA in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University in Canada. Daisy became a first-generation immigrant to Canada around age 40, after building a multidisciplinary life and career in China. Her path is distinctive because she has studied, worked, lived, built businesses, volunteered, and participated in community and non-profit development in both China and Canada. She founded C-sight Studio in Canada, now entering its tenth year, which has evolved into a bilingual counselling practice. She continues to develop work in both Canada and China, bringing a cross-cultural, interdisciplinary, and systems-oriented lens to psychology, personal leadership, organizational development, social entrepreneurship, and community contribution.
