
Yinan came to Canada at 18 as an international student from China. She shares her struggles, and she has completed her bachelor's and master’s degrees in psychology. She said that knowledge is power and that everyone has a story.

Yinan Yu came to Canada from China at 18 as an international student and later became a permanent resident. She has a BA in Psychology and an MSc in Mental Health from McGill University. She is passionate about cultural psychology, immigrant mental health, and family dynamics, especially in unconventional immigration household settings. She currently works as a tutor/lecturer for New Oriental and a counsellor in China. She is also a proud mother of two rescue cats.
