Episode 125: Coping with Online Anti-Indian Hate

Gurjeet stated that there is online hate against South Asian folks. He shares the psychological impact, reasons for disinhibition in an online environment, and ways to cope. He explains that names with "Jeet" mean "victory" and some are using the word in a racist way. He is passionate about helping individuals cope with anti-Indian hate.

Gurjeet Bara

Gurjeet Bara is a Registered Psychologist in the province of Alberta and has been practicing for five years. After graduating from the Master of Counselling program at Athabasca University, he worked primarily with clients who had been in motor vehicle accidents. For the past three years, he has worked at ShiftGrit Psychology in Edmonton.
